Legacy Tae Kwon Do Testing Requirements

Progressing through rank as a member of the Legacy Tae Kwon Do is something that is earned through meeting several (but not limited to) requirements.

While these requirements are considered a huge part of earning rank, it is ultimately the decision of the instructor(s) as to whether a student has earned the ability to test

The following criteria must be met in order to be considered to gain rank:

  • The student should be knowledgeable of all of the requirements listed under the rank, and be prepared to show proficiency in “all” areas up to that rank.

  • The student should demonstrate consistent and thoughtful adoption of the tenets as provided by the Legacy Tae Kwon Do Association.

  • The student must have attended at least three (3) classes per month, or as determined by the instructor as appropriate. The instructor has the option to include past attendance for a student from their last testing to the present, but not before it. Attendance is only one of the requirements for testing.

  • Association dues must be current for the quarter as well as past quarters. Paying dues is not only a prerequisite for testing, it is a part of being a member of the association whether a student will be testing or not.

Please note that the instructors at the Legacy Tae Kwon Do Association are not paid for their time.

They are here because of their love for teaching, and their willingness to share their experience to help guide you, the student, down the path of the Martial Arts.

Your participation in this class is a privilege, not an entitlement.

In the event your commitment to the martial arts is not evident to your instructor and the governing board you may be asked to take time away from Legacy Tae Kwon Do to reconsider your commitment, allowing those who have a more appropriate interest or motive to participate in your place.
