Master and Master Instructor Ranks
In the Legacy Tae Kwon Do Association 4th Dan is considered a Masters level rank; it is divided into “Master” and “Master Instructor”.
A person with a Master ranking is someone who has dedicated a minimum of 12 years to their training in Tae Kwon Do.
To be considered a Master Instructor, you must have also completed a minimum 12 years as well as the Instructor training program. Candidates for Master Instructor must be able to show that they have taught students on a regular basis whether in regular classes, beginner classes, or in private instruction.
It is also accepted that this candidate represents themselves and the Legacy Group well by being proper examples of the 5 Tenets in and out of the classroom.
4th Dan Black Belt [4 years from your 3rd Dan Testing Date]
- Same as 3rd Dan requirements, you must be able to show that your
- Training has been continuous for the past 4 years.
- Must attend at least 50% of the advanced training workouts per year, or be able to show that you have spent training time with an equal or higher ranking Black Belt.
- Instructors can include time teaching but must be able to show a log of teaching time.
